The International Scientific Cooperation Department has responsibility for the development of international activities ranging from developing links and partnerships with research and higher education institutes and businesses overseas, as well as managing relationships with the administrations responsible for international activities in Iranian institutions. This department offers support and expertise to academic departments through the university to encourage their staff and students to promote their international activities. Research agreement
Research agreement signed between University of Zanjan and Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia

During the visit of geologist from faculty F BERG of the Technical University of Kosice (TUKE), Slovakia to University of Zanjan, an International Collaborative Research Agreement signed between the two parties in order to study the Jurassic red terrestrial sediments of Iran, north of Kerman. For this research project which was signed by University of Zanjan deputy for research and faculty F BERG dean, head of the International cooperation and relations offices of the two institutes and the executors of this research, Faculty F Berg provided 4000 € for field work in Iran. This budget is provided through the external funding of faculty F Berg through their relations with industry. In the first phase of this research, Slovak geologists including Prof. Juraj Janocko and Dr Marta Prekopova, together with a group of geologists from University of Zanjan with leadership of Dr Majid Mirzaie Ataabadi conducted field work in areas north of Kerman for 10 days.
