Numerical solution of the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation using local radial basis function collocation method
Abstract


In this paper, we study the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with Local Radial Basis Function Collocation Method (LRBFCM) based on multiquadric (MQ) Radial Basis Function (RBF). We have chosen uniform nodal arrangement due their suitability and five nodded domains of influence are used in the local support for the calculation of the spatial partial derivatives. The time derivative is approximated by second order central difference formula. The results of numerical experiments are presented, and are compared with analytical solutions to confirm the accuracy and efficiency of the presented method.
