NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF TWO-DIMENTIONAL LINEAR SECOND ORDER HYPERBOLIC PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION USING MESHLESS LOCAL PETROV-GALERKIN (MLPG) BASED ON MOVING KRIGING INTERPOLATION
Abstract


A meshless local Petrov-Galerkin (MLPG) method is applied to calculate the numerical solution of two-dimensional linear second order hyperbolic partial differential equation. In this method, the moving Kriging interpolation is employed instead of the MLS approximation to construct the shape functions and the Heaviside step function is used as the test function over a local subdomain. An example is performed to illustrate the accuracy and efciency of the present method.
