The faculty of Sciences of Zanjan University which was established in 1990 is one of the largest faculties in the University with over 60 academic staff overseeing the studies of 800 undergraduate as well as postgraduate students. The 5 departments of the faculty comprises :Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics and Physics. Together they form a stimulating academic environment in which students personally participate not only in lectures and laboratory classes but also in the closer interactions engendered by tutorial groups and by projects arising from the research programmes of members of staff.
