New biodegradable amphiphilic conetwork based on PCL and PEG via click chemistry
Abstract

Over the past decades, amphiphilic conetwork(APCN) have recieved significant attention because of their grate application in tissue engineering, drug controlled release, agriculture, wound dressing and etc.1-3 In this work a biodegradable APCN with both Hydrophobic(HO) and hydrophilic(HI) components were synthesised. First azide functionalaized 4-arm star poly-caprolactone (PCL) as HO segment and Poly ethylene glycole (PEG) with terminal alkyne groupe as HI segment were synthesized and then final hydrogel formed via Cu catalyzed click reaction between azide and alkyne end groupes. Synthesised prepolymer characterized with IR and H-NMR spectroscopy. SEM images used to prove that 3D network of hydrogel formed. As the results of this study a wide range of swelling property was obtained by changing molecuelar weight (MW) of hydrophobic segments and decreasing the chain lenght of PCL causing more swelling in final hydrogel
