Investigating Effective Factors on Pro- Environmental Behavior of Agricultural High School Students in Zanjan Province.
Abstract


Changing human behavior and their protection of the environment is one way to prevent further damage to the environment. Environmental behavior is also influenced by several factors that the aim of this descriptive correlational research was to investigate agricultural high school students awareness, attitude, and behavior toward the environment. The research tool had three sections which its validity was confirmed by a panel of related experts. A pilot study was conducted and calculated alpha Cronbach was higher than 0.8 for different sections. The statistical population consists all 187 agricultural high school students in Zanjan Province which 135 of them were selected based on Krejcie and Morgan sampling table and applying randomized stratified sampling method. Data were analyzed by SPSS20 and using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicated that 54.8 percent of students had an ordinal (mediate) pro-environment behavior. The results of correlation analysis revealed that there was a significantly positive relationship between students behaviors with their awareness and attitude, fathers education, average grade point and their level of study of books and magazine. Multiple regression analysis indicated that attitude and knowledge predict 54.2% of variation in the agricultural high school students behavior toward the environment.
