Assessment of Entrepreneurship mentality of Agricultural high school students in Zanjan Province
Abstract


    Agricultural High Schools as a component of National Agricultural Education System is playing an important role in educating of students.  In recent years, the graduates of these schools like the university ones has encountered with unemployment problem and not finding related jobs in the sector. One solution to solve this problem is to increase their entrepreneurship mentality (E.M.).  E.M is defined as six factors e.g., Internal control, Innovativeness, Need for Achievement, Need for Independence, Risk Taking and Ambiguity Tolerance. To reach that end, first the current status of students should be recognized. Hence the purpose of this study was to explore the entrepreneurial capability level of agricultural higher school students in Zanjan province. The research method of study was descriptive- correlational. All the 412 students of province were the target population of this study which 145 of them were selected as study sample through proportional Stratified random sampling method. The validity of research tool (researcher made questionnaire) verified by a panel of experts in this regard and by conducting a pretest study and calculating cronbach alpha coefficient for different sections, its reliability was obtained. The data were analyzed using SPSS14/win software. The findings of this study indicate that the entrepreneurial capability level among nearly 50% (52.4%) was high. T-test revealed that there were no significant difference between two groups of students with different level of education (sophomore and junior) regarding to entrepreneurial capability level. Also F-Test showed No significant difference among different groups of field of study related to entrepreneurial capability level.
