Optimal Observer Designing for eMPC |
This paper deals with the problem of designing observer for the explicit model predictive control (eMPC). To recover the performance of the closed-loop system under the eMPC controller and observer, an optimizing algorithm is proposed that enables us to systematically design an optimal observer. It is proved that the proposed approach leads to the maximum achievable performance in some sense when compared to the desired performance (i.e. when states are available). Simulation results illustrate the performance of the proposed approach when compared to a set of observers designed using a robust poleplacement approach. |
