Changes of body weight, insulin resistance, maximal oxygen uptake and Some of physiological factors in partly obese adolescents in response to endurance training
Abstract


Background & Aims: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of exercise training on Changes of body weight، Insulin resistance ,Maximal Oxygen Uptake(Vo2max) and Some of the major Physiological factors in partly Obese adolescents. Materials & Methods: 36 healthy obese and overweight male adolescents were studied. they divided in two groups: exercise group (N = 18) and control group (N=18). The exercise group underwent 8 weeks of increased jump rope exercise training (40 min/d, 4 d/wk). Vo2max, Adiposity, insulin resistance, lipid profile and weight were measured before and after the completion of exercise training. to evaluate the results, independent T-test and Paired t-test were used. Results: The results showed that 8 weeks of increased endurance physical activity increaced Vo2max and decreased the Insulin resistance, body fat percent,BMI,WC, and triglycerides levels in obese male adolescents(P<0.05) . Conclusions: 8 weeks of interval Aerobic exercise, have positive effect on some of physiological factors(TG, %BF, insulin resistance, central obesity,BMI and Vo2max ) in overweight and obese adolescents and have no effect on other factors.
