Abstract

Abstract In order to determine appropriate medium for Begonia tuberhybrida, the experimental design as a completely randomized with four replications was carried out in Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology Laboratory of Horticultural Sciences of Zanjan University. Treatments consisted of 6 types of medium including MS, 1/2MS, MS Containing concentrations 0/5 BA (mg.L–1), 1 BA +0/5 NAA (mg.L–1), 1 BA +0/75 NAA (mg.L–1), 1/5 BA +0/5 NAA (mg.L–1). Treatment combination of 1/5 BA +0/5 NAA (mg.L–1) has the highest number of buds and leaves, while the control was observed less number of buds and leaves. Treatment combination of 1/5 BA +0/5 NAA (mg.L–1) has a maximum height and minimum height was observed in the treatment of 1/2MS. Maximum regeneration width in the combination treatment 1 BA + 0/5 NAA (mg.L–1) and minimum regeneration width was observed in the control treatment.
