The International Scientific Cooperation Department has responsibility for the development of international activities ranging from developing links and partnerships with research and higher education institutes and businesses overseas, as well as managing relationships with the administrations responsible for international activities in Iranian institutions. Memorandum of Understanding betwen the University of Zanjan and Ural Federal University



In order to increase international cooperation in the fields of education, research, and cultural exchange, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Ural Federal University (Russia), and the University of Zanjan according to which, joint programs will be conducted to secure the interests of students, faculties, faculty members and research institutes on both sides.

This memorandum was signed by the Presidents of both universities, Dr. Jalal Bazargan and Dr. Victor Koksharo, and it was approved. Dr. Bazargan was accompanied by Dr. Mahdi Nasiri, the Director of the International Scientific Cooperation Office.

The two universities will fulfill their obligations through discussion and exchange of information and negotiations regarding the following activities. Potential programs and activities may include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  1. Development of joint scientific courses and programs in full compliance with the charter and professional regulations of both institutions;
  2. Exchange of undergraduate and graduate students to conduct research or take courses that are recognized by both universities;
  3. Exchange of faculty members in line with educational, research, and teaching goals;
  4. Exchange of educational materials, research projects, printing, and physical or electronic resources of libraries;
  5. Holding conferences, seminars, joint workshops;
  6. The possibility of continuing the education of the students of each of the universities that are parties to the memorandum of understanding in the Master's and doctoral degrees in another university;
  7. Proposals can be implemented with the signature of both parties after review.
  8. After the final signing, the memorandum is valid for 5 years, unless it is canceled according to Article 5 of the same memorandum. Also, the memorandum can be changed with the consent of the parties.
  9. This memorandum is effective from the date of signing the contract by the representatives of the parties and will be valid until one of the parties terminates cooperation, in written form, six (6) months before the desired date. Each of the parties to the memorandum of understanding shall notify the president of the university of the memorandum of understanding in writing before the expiry of the stipulated time.
  10. Each of the parties will specify a person or an office as the liaison for the implementation of this memorandum.
  11. This memorandum was developed to facilitate and develop educational relations with mutual benefits.
