Dynamical modeling of granular flow in inclined rotary drums
مدلسازی دینامیکی کوره دوار
Abstract

Modeling industrial systems helps to increase productivity, cut-off production costs, improve quality, and enhance the performance of the related control systems. The present research employs multidimensional laboratory tests to conclude a multi-variable, non-linear dynamic model for granular flow height (bed depth curve)in an inclined rotary drum. Different mathematical tools are applied to the manipulated measured values to attain the lowest possible model degree with great accuracy. Finally, the model of loading the drum and the utilized methodologies are validated by using some real data to represent a potential for application on different cylindrical processes. The resultant bed depths can be used in flame regulation and monitoring systems. Besides, the model can also be used to control the bed depth by regulating angular speed and inlet flow rate in any specific inclination.
